LAB MEMBERS
FOREST LIU
PhD Candidate
Forest is a PhD student in Biomedical Engineering at McGill. He is applying ultra-high field
functional MRI combined with structural neuroimaging to study network models of brain
connectivity in multiple sclerosis. He also examines the relationship between functional connectivity alterations and cognition in MS patients.
VIET HOANG
Undergraduate Student
Viet is a senior undergraduate student in computer science and biology at McGill. He is applying
diffusion weighted MRI to study tract-specific white matter pathology in MS. As part of this
project, he is using fiber tracking methods for whole-brain structural connectivity mapping.
AHMED ELKADY
Postdoctoral Fellow
Ahmed is a MITACS Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Neurology/Neurosurgery at
McGill. His research focuses on quantitative, myelin-sensitive MRI methods, gradient-echo MRI
techniques for quantitative susceptibility mapping and applications of machine learning to MRI. He applies these methods for multiple sclerosis patient brain imaging.
VLADIMIR GROUZA
PhD Candidate
Vlad is a PhD student in the Quantitative Life Sciences Program at McGill. His research
investigates brain microstructure with quantitative ultra high field MRI, computational modeling
and chemical histology. He applies these methods for imaging a mouse model of hypomyelination.
